After graduating medical school at SUNY Down State, Dr. Kleinman went on complete his internship at Beth Israel Hospital and his residency at St. Vincent’s, both in New York City. He is proud to continue working in his hometown of New York today.

A certified PA (physician associate/physician assistant) with over thirty-five years of clinical experience in orthopedics and currently an Associate Professor at St. John’s University Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant program. PA Fernandez, known as “PA Pam” to her patients, along with Dr. Kleinman are authors of the eBook Practical Orthopedics: A Visual Guide to the Musculoskeletal History and Physical Examination. She is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, an active member of the New York State Society of Physician Assistants (NYSSPA), Physician Assistants in Orthopedic Surgery, and American Geriatric Society, editorial staff for the Journal of Physician Assistants in Orthopedic Surgery, speaks regularly at local and state PA conferences, and engages in multiple community service activities and initiatives.

Mark Sionov completed his undergraduate education with a Bachelor in Science degree from St. John‘s University in Queens. New York with a magna cum laude degree. He then completed the Physician Assistant program at St. Vincent’s Catholic Medical Centers graduating in 1998 with a distinguished Physician Assistant award for excellence in academics. He later completed his Masters in Physician assistant studies from University of Nebraska in 2011.

As certified PA (physician associate/physician assistant), he has been practicing in the tield of Orthopedic surgery since 2001 and currently works as a Chief Orthopedic Physician Assistant at Jacobi Medical Center department of Orthopedic surgery since 2004.
He is an active member of American
Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA), New
York State Society of Physician Assistants
(NYSSPA) and Physician Assistants in Orthopedic
Surgery (PAOS).

Mark believes in a customized and individualized approach to every patient with prevention and preservation first, using modern non-surgical techniques, and surgery as a last resort, only if absolutely necessary.

Mark’s interests include sports related
injuries of the shoulder and knee, though he is experienced in management of elbow, wrist and ankle injuries and other conditions.
